Hi, I'm Neat
Commissioner Neat Robinson is a dedicated public servant and trailblazing community leader who currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Henry County Board of Commissioners, representing District II. With a career rooted in civic engagement and governmental leadership, she has made a lasting impact at both the local and state levels in Georgia. Prior to her role in county government, Commissioner Robinson served on the City of Stockbridge Council, where she chaired the Public Works Committee and launched transformative programs like the Stockbridge Youth Council and Teen Ambassador’s Program to empower young civic leaders.
In 2019, Commissioner Robinson made history as the first Black City Councilperson in Henry County to be appointed to a state board by a Governor when she joined the Georgia Board of Corrections under Governor Brian P. Kemp. Her leadership extends to several influential regional and national committees, including the Atlanta Regional Commission's Community Planning Academy and Local Leadership Housing Action Committee, the Georgia Municipal Association’s Legislative and Federal Policy Councils, and the National Association of Counties’ Transportation Steering Committee. In 2024, she was also appointed to the Stockbridge Police Citizens Advisory Council.​

Outside of elected office, Commissioner Robinson is an active figure in civic and nonprofit circles. She has served with distinction on the Arts Clayton Board of Directors, the Henry County NCNW Henry/Clayton Section, Henry County Democratic Women, and as Interim Chair of the Henry County Democratic Party. She also holds memberships in the Top Ladies of Distinction and the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. A passionate advocate for education, she is currently pursuing a degree at Morris Brown College, where she is set to graduate in Fall 2025, and has earned numerous certifications through the University of Georgia’s Carl Vinson Institute of Government, the ACCG, and the GMA.
Commissioner Robinson's accomplishments have earned her numerous accolades, including the Dean’s List and the Golden Key International Honour Society at Morris Brown College, the 2019 Woman of Excellence Award from the National Foundation for Women Legislators, and the President George H. W. Bush Points of Light Volunteer Service Award. A pioneer in Georgia politics, she holds multiple historic firsts, including being the first Black elected official in Henry County to serve at both city and county levels, the first woman elected to serve District 4 (now District 2), and a member of the first all-Black City Council in Stockbridge history. Commissioner Neat Robinson continues to serve with distinction, committed to equity, progress, and inclusive leadership.
